Primm, Nevada –Domination in the desert was the theme of the day as FOX Racing Shox / BFGoodrich sponsored Mark and Gary Weyhrich stormed the desert at the Best in the Desert Vegas 300. Held at the Terrible Herbst's Primm Off Road Mecca and reaching into some 82-miles of barren desert on the fringes of Primm, Nevada,
the winners today were the Weyhrich Brothers.
Saturday's race begin at high-noon under beautiful sunny skies on the California / Nevada border town. Racing the # 1588 TSCO Class 1500, the Weyhrich wasted no time moving through the field and setting a super fast pace that no one could catch.
The meticulously prepped Class 1500 buggy raced flawlessly as the brother duo from Troutsdale, Oregon focused on race strategy. They Weyhrich bested even the fastest BITD Trick Truck over the course of Saturday's race claiming the overall victory among all classes.
NBC sportcaster - Wally Dallenbach raced in Saturday's BITD race preparing for this year's 40th Anniversary of the SCORE Tecate Baja 1000 and he crashed Jesse Jones # 76 Toyo Tires Trick Truck within view of the nearby highway. It has been reported the Dallenbach and his co-driver were uninjured and the truck suffered
moderate damage, but the # 76 truck did
finish the race.

Dallenbach recently attended the 40 Years to Glory event hosted at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center last week. The event paid tribute those involved in the last forty years of the SCORE Baja 1000 and Dallenbach remarked that he was touched by the passion of the motorsport of desert racing.
Dallenbach and BITD Trick Truck Champion - Jesse Jones teamed together for the upcoming SCORE Baja 1000 race and this event, the weekend following his duties as the NBC sportcaster for the CORR televised races, he took to the driver's seat in search of some seriously need seat time before the longest point-to-point off
road race in the world.
